New Hatebreed album “postponed indefinitely” due to COVID-19

Nuclear BlastLooks like we won’t be hearing a new Hatebreed album for a while.

According to frontman Jamey Jasta, the upcoming eighth studio effort from the Connecticut metallers has been “postponed indefinitely” due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I’m told retail [and] pressing plants in [Europe] & [North America] will be closing or are closed already making manufacturing/pre-orders impossible,” he explains. “Our fans buy a lot of vinyl/CDs so the label needs to protect their investment understandably.”

Hatebreed just released a new single last month, called “When the Blade Drops.” At the time, they said a new record, the follow-up to 2016’s The Concrete Confessional, was due out later this year.

Along with the album postponement, Hatebreed’s spring U.S. headlining tour has been canceled as a result of COVID-19. They’re still scheduled to link up with Parkway Drive for a U.S. run kicking off in August.
