Volbeat celebrates five-times platinum certification in Denmark for ‘Seal the Deal & Let’s Boogie

Republic RecordsVolbeat is continuing to rack up platinum albums in the band’s home country of Denmark.

The group’s 2016 album, Seal the Deal & Let’s Boogie, has now been certified five-times platinum by the Danish branch of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry, or IFPI. It’s Volbeat’s first record to accomplish that feat.

In Denmark, 20,000 album units, which combines physical and digital album sales with streaming numbers, is required to earn a platinum album. At five-times platinum, Seal the Deal moved a total of 100,000 units.

In a video celebrating the achievement, Volbeat thanked fans for their support with the album, which spawned the singles “The Devil’s Bleeding Crown,” “Seal the Deal” and “Black Rose.”

“Stay safe, and let’s boogie,” the band said.

Volbeat is certainly beloved in Denmark — in 2017, they played to a crowd of nearly 50,000 people at Telia Parken stadium, which marked the largest concert any Danish artist has played in their home country.

Volbeat’s most recent album is Rewind, Replay, Rebound, which was released last August.
