“Call Me by Your Name Is Human”: Johnny Stevens wants Timothée Chalamet to play him in a Highly Suspect film

Highly Suspect‘s video for their current single “These Days” stars Tony Cavalero, who played Ozzy Osbourne in the Mötley Crüe biopic, The Dirt. That, of course, raises the question, who should play Highly Suspect in a Highly Suspect biopic?

Frontman Johnny Stevens tells ABC Audio that he’d like to see himself played by Call Me by Your Name and Lady Bird actor Timothée Chalamet.

“I just think he’s an amazing actor,” Stevens says. “I think he could probably pull it off, I really do.”

As for bassist Rich Meyer, his ideal choice would be Tom Hanks. “I would love to see his interpretation of who I am,” he says. “I’m sure he could figure it out.”

Beyond the strangeness of seeing Timothée Chalamet and Tom Hanks as band mates in a film, Stevens promises that a Highly Suspect biopic, if it ever happened, would be a “wild movie.”

“I think we have an extremely, extremely Cinderella story,” Stevens says. “It’s real, it’s super real. We’re not some put-together band, we’re not some Craigslist band.”

“The stories that I could tell you, you wouldn’t even be allowed to air them at all,” he adds. “We’ve had some insanely crazy times.”

While you wait for Hollywood to get on a Highly Suspect biopic, you can listen to “These Days” on the band’s latest album, MCID.
