The Canadian festival, which scrapped its 2020 event due to the COVID-19 pandemic, has announced a three-day streaming event featuring footage of performances from Rockfest’s nearly 15-year history.
Between June 19-21, you’ll be able to watch over 50 hours of exclusive video content from past Rockfests, which have hosted bands including Linkin Park, Blink-182, The Offspring, System of a Down, Rammstein, Korn, Deftones, Mötley Crüe, Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie. The stream will also feature newly filmed content.
“We will be presenting a Rockfest in Montebello in the form of an immersive virtual simulation in real time,” festival organizers say. “It will be exactly as if you were there: the road trip to Montebello, your arrival at the campground, the party all over town, the music, the sunburns and the usual madness while shouting ROCKFEST!”
Also like an in-person festival, the online version of Montebello will cost money. A weekend pass, which gives you access to all three days of content, will run you $33.99. You can also buy single-day passes for $18.99. If you buy a weekend pass, you’ll get $10 off for the next edition of Rockfest, planned for 2021.
