Frazer Harrison/Getty ImagesDave Navarro is hosting an online roundtable special about the late Chester Bennington‘s pre-Linkin Park band, Grey Daze.
The Jane’s Addiction guitarist will be joined by Grey Daze drummer Sean Dowdell to speak about the group’s upcoming album, Amends, which features newly recorded instrumentals accompanying Bennington’s original vocal takes.
The special, which is titled Shouting Out, will also features guests including Korn‘s Brian “Head” Welch and Bush guitarist Chris Traynor.
“We’re here today to discuss a great friend of all of ours, Chester Bennington,” Navarro says in introducing Shouting Out.
“You know him from Linkin Park, of course, but a lot of people don’t know that before Linkin Park, Chester was in a band called Grey Daze and that Grey Daze is where he developed his skills, his styles, his technique,” Navarro continues. “Even lyrically, he was going into some of those places that he talks about in his later on lyrics.”
