Black Veil Brides frontman teases “awesome” ‘Re-Stitch These Wounds’ anniversary album

Sumerian RecordsIn honor of its 10th anniversary, Black Veil Brides are releasing a re-recorded version of their 2010 debut album We Stitch These Wounds, aptly titled Re-Stitch These Wounds. Prior to announcing the project, frontman Andy Biersack told ABC Radio why he and his band mates were so keen to revisit their opening effort.

“Our first record was recorded on a shoestring budget,” Biersack explained. “Musically, I don’t think we had the chops that we do now. And I always thought it would be fun.”

In fact, BVB has been wanting to re-record We Stitch These Wounds since at least 2013.

“It was an idea that we had years ago,” Biersack said. “Now it’s just come to the point where it’s gonna be the 10-year anniversary, it just felt like it was the right time.”

In addition to the new newly recorded music, Biersack is excited about the physical Re-Stitch These Wounds package.

“I was thinking about including as much photography and memorabilia and things that people haven’t seen within the package and doing something really special,” Biersack said.

“We’ve got all kinds of plans for it, so that will be really cool,” he added. “Especially for longtime fans, I think that will be awesome.”

Re-Stitch These Wounds will be released July 31. On August 1, BVB will play a livestream concert from Hollywood’s famed Whisky a Go Go.
