Billie Eilish, Twenty One Pilots, Evanescence & more nominated for 2020 MTV VMAs

MTVBillie Eilish, Twenty One Pilots and Evanescence are among the nominees for the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards.

The “bad guy” singer is recognized in six categories, including Video of the Year and Song of the Year for “everything i wanted.” Additionally, the video for “all the good girls go to hell” is up for Video for Good, Best Cinematography and Best Visual Effects, while Eilish herself is nominated for Best Direction for her self-directed “xanny” clip.

Meanwhile, Twenty One Pilots’ “Level of Concern” is nominated in the Best Alternative category, and Evanescence’s “Wasted on You” will compete for the Best Rock title.

The other Best Alternative nominees are The 1975‘s “If You’re Too Shy (Let Me Know),” All Time Low‘s “Some Kind of Disaster,” Finneas‘ “Let’s Fall in Love for the Night,” Lana Del Rey‘s “Doin’ Time,” and Machine Gun Kelly‘s “Bloody Valentine.”

In the Best Rock category, you’ll also find Blink-182‘s “Happy Days,” Coldplay‘s “Orphans,” Fall Out Boy‘s “Dear Future Self” feat. Wyclef Jean, Green Day‘s “Oh Yeah!”, and The Killers‘ “Caution.”

TOP’s “Level of Concern” and Blink’s “Happy Days” are also nominated for the newly created Best Music Video from Home category.

Other nominees include Post Malone‘s Nirvana tribute stream for Best Quarantine Performance, and Yungblud, who made the final cut for the Push Best New Artist award.

The 2020 MTV VMAs will air live Sunday, August 30.
