Credit: Alice BaxleyBad Religion has released a new track called “What Are We Standing For.”

The song is an outtake from the sessions for Bad Religion’s latest album, 2019’s Age of Unreason. The punk veterans describe “What Are We Standing For” as an expression of “support and compassion for professional athletes, and others, whom have taken a knee to protest police brutality and racism.”

“In this time of tribal nationalism, dissent, as a form of political speech, is vital to democracy,” the band says.

You can download “What Are We Standing For” now via digital outlets.

The release of “What Are We Standing For” follows the August debut of “Faith Alone 2020,” an updated version of Bad Religion’s 1990 song of the same name.
