Noam Galai/Getty ImagesThe Struts‘ upcoming album, Strange Days, is their most collaborative yet: guests include Rage Against the Machine‘s Tom Morello, Def Leppard‘s Joe Elliott and Phil Collen, Albert Hammond Jr. of The Strokes and U.K. pop star Robbie Williams. Speaking with Kerrang!, frontman Luke Spiller revealed a collaboration with Foo Fighters may be in the works, as well.
During the interview, The Struts were asked whether they tried to get frontman Dave Grohl — who declared the U.K. rockers to be the best opening band the Foos ever had — or drummer Taylor Hawkins to guest on Strange Days.
“Well…that’s for a later date,” Spiller cryptically answered.
When pushed further about the possible existence of the track and more new collaborative tunes, Spiller replied, “This is The Struts: we always have something more up our sleeves!”
“The thought process that we’ve applied to this record isn’t just going to be thrown out of the window, it was a very happy experiment, and I think people can expect more things like this in the future,” he added. “We’ve made a lot of great friends who are extremely talented, so we’re definitely going to be branching out more.”
Strange Days is due out this Friday, October 16.
