Bruce Glikas/FilmMagicBillie Joe Armstrong is reuniting with the cast of the American Idiot Broadway musical to encourage voter participation.
The Green Day frontman will join the musical’s co-creator, Michael Mayer, along with original cast members of the Broadway production, for a virtual “letter-writing party” in partnership with the organization Swing Left.
During the event, which takes place this Friday, October 16, Armstrong and company will be writing letters to underrepresented voters and asking them to make their voices heard for this November’s U.S. election. It will also feature live performances, trivia and previously unreleased recordings, plus an interview with documentary filmmaker Michael Moore.
