Tool’s Adam Jones announces new signature Gibson guitar

GibsonTool‘s Adam Jones has teamed up with Gibson to launch the Adam Jones 1979 Les Paul Custom, the first release in a newly announced multi-year partnership with the famed guitar brand.

The instrument is a recreation of Jones’ prized Silverburst 1979 Gibson Les Paul, which he’s long played live, including during Tool’s tour in support of their long-awaited new album, Fear Inoculum.

“Adam is one of the most talented and sonically innovative guitarists,” says Cesar Gueikian, chief merchant officers of Gibson Brands. “I call him modern riff lord and sonic architect. His creativity and technical ability in music, visual effects, production, videography and beyond is second to none and our collaboration is a true reflection of Adam.”

To introduce his signature guitar, Jones has created and scored a short film titled The Witness, which is streaming now on YouTube.
