Eddie Vedder performing during virtual Tibet House US Benefit Concert

Kevin Mazur/Getty Images for EBEddie Vedder will be performing at the 2021 edition of the annual Tibet House US Benefit Concert, which will be held virtually this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The online event will stream February 17. Along with the Pearl Jam frontman, the lineup includes Alabama ShakesBrittany Howard, indie musician Phoebe Bridgers, singer-songwriter Valerie June and avant-garde artist Laurie Anderson.  Anderson also is the widow of Lou Reed, who performed at the event in the past.

Money raised from the concert, which is now in its 34th year, will support the Tibet House US, a non-profit organization founded in 1987 — at the request of the Dalai Lama — that works to preserve Tibetan culture. His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama will be delivering a video message at this year’s show.

The concert will stream via the platform Mandolin. Tickets are available now via TibetHouse.us.

In non-pandemic times, the Tibet House US Benefit Concert was held at New York City’s Carnegie Hall. Artists who’ve performed at previous concerts include R.E.M., Patti Smith, Iggy Pop, David Bowie and Vampire Weekend.
