The 10th studio effort from the Celtic punk mainstays is called Turn Up That Dial, and will be released April 30.

“On this record, the overall theme is the importance of music, and the bands that made us who we are,” says co-lead vocalist Ken Casey. “We just hope [the album] takes people’s minds off their troubles. We’re so fortunate and grateful to be in the position to share a little happiness in our own way.”

“If there’s a message to this album, it’s ‘put your fist up and play it loud,'” he adds.

Along with the album announcement, Dropkick Murphys have released a new song called “Middle Finger,” which you can download now via digital outlets.

You can also hear a preview of songs from Turn Up That Dial during Dropkick’s upcoming St. Patrick’s Day streaming concert, premiering March 17. Visit DKMStream.com for more info.

Last spring, Dropkick Murphys streamed a show from an empty Fenway Park. The set — which marked the first time a band played in the infield dirt of the famed Boston Red Sox ballpark — included a remote cameo from Bruce Springsteen, who appeared on the Fenway big screen to join in for two songs.
