Former Saliva frontman Josey Scott is mourning the death of his son Cody, who passed away over the weekend from COVID-19 complications at age 29.
Scott had shared earlier this month that Cody was in the hospital with pneumonia caused by COVID-19. Less than two weeks later, Scott revealed the sad news of Cody’s passing.
“Our sweet Cody lost his fight with COVID tonight, and the Lord has called him home,” Scott wrote in an Instagram post that went up this past Sunday. “We are absolutely heartbroken, confused, grief stricken, angry, just every emotion you can imagine.”
“Please keep us in your prayers as we have some difficult days ahead,” he added.
Scott is a founding member of Saliva. He left the band in 2011.
