Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump releases new song “Deep Blue Love” from upcoming film soundtrack

ABC/Randy HolmesFall Out Boy vocalist Patrick Stump has released a new song called “Deep Blue Love.”

The track is part of the soundtrack for the upcoming film Spell, for which Stump composed the score. You can download “Deep Blue Love” now via digital outlets.

“[Director] Brendan [Walter] gave me a real chance as a composer,” Stump tells Variety. “I was allowed to explore elements of my writing that I could never have without the narrative of the film.”

Spell, which premiered last fall at the L.A. Film Festival, also features the Weezer song “California Snow”

Stump’s full score will be released November 1, the same day Spell hits theaters. The film will be out on VOD and DVD November 19.
