NBA Finals force cancellation of Twenty One Pilots Toronto show

ABC/Image Group LAIf you’re a Toronto Raptors fan and a member of the Twenty One Pilots Clique, then you might feel a bit conflicted right now. While your favorite basketball team is making its first trip to the NBA Finals this week, the upcoming series has forced the “Stressed Out” duo to cancel the second of their two shows at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena.

The TOP shows were scheduled for Tuesday, May 28 and Wednesday, May 29. Game 1 of the NBA Finals, which will pit the Raps against the two-time defending champion Golden State Warriors, will tip off Thursday, May 30, but due to the necessary “technical load-in and set up” for the contest, the May 29 show has been canceled.

“Congrats @Raptors on making the finals,” the band tweeted following the Raptors’ Game 6 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. “This means we have to cancel night number two of our Toronto shows for the @NBA to have arena access.”

Refunds for the May 29 show have been issued, and ticket-holders will have access to tickets for the May 28 concert, which is still on.

Twenty One Pilots are currently touring North America in support of their new album, Trench, featuring the singles “Jumpsuit,” “Chlorine” and “My Blood.”
