Not only that, but he got a teacher’s note excusing his absence.
The boy’s father posted a screenshot on Reddit of an email exchange between his wife and his son’s band director, who responded, “If there is, Tool is a good reason to miss [class].”
“I am super jealous that he will have that opportunity and I will not punish him for missing Tool,” the note read.
The teacher also asked how the student felt about the just-released new album Fear Inoculum, the first Tool album in 13 years. Given the notorious intensity of Tool fans, his response would likely be longer than any paper he’s ever written for school.
Tool will launch a fall tour in support of Fear Inoculum starting in October, so you have a month to come up with an excuse for your teacher or boss.
