Chris Cornell’s daughter Toni Cornell releases debut single, “Far Away Places”

ABC/ Paula LoboToni Cornell, the 15-year-old daughter of the late Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell, has released her debut single.

The song is called “Far Away Places,” and is available now for digital download.

Toni wrote “Far Away Places” when she was 12 years old. The track was recorded and produced by her father in February 2017, just months before he died that May.

In 2015, Toni performed on stage for the first time when she joined Chris for a duet of the Bob Marley track “Redemption Song.” Following the death of her father and his friend Chester Bennington‘s passing, she performed a cover of Leonard Cohen‘s “Hallelujah” alongside OneRepublic on ABC’s Good Morning America.

Most recently, Toni sang “Redemption Song” on stage with Ziggy Marley at the Chris Cornell tribute concert earlier this year.
