Tom DeLonge says “everything is awesome” with Blink-182: “We still talk, we’re all good”

Walt Disney Television/Paula LoboTom DeLonge says that “everything is awesome” between him and his former band mates in Blink-182.

Speaking to the crowd during an Angels & Airwaves concert in Chicago over the weekend, DeLonge said, “Contrary to a lot of talk out there on internet land, I’m super, super, super thankful” for Blink.

I love that band. I started that band, by the way,” DeLonge continued. “I love Mark [Hoppus] and Travis [Barker], we still talk, we’re all good. Everything’s awesome and people don’t know, so they say a bunch of weird s*** on the internet.”

You can watch fan-shot footage of DeLonge’s remarks now via Reddit.

DeLonge’s comments follow a recent interview Hoppus did with Vogue, in which he said that “when Tom was in the band, that’s when Blink did its best work.”

Hoppus also said that he talked to DeLonge for the first time in two years right before the start of Blink’s summer tour.

“The conversation was more about us just telling each other, ‘No hard feelings. You do your thing, we’ll do our thing,'” Hoppus said. “It’s all good.”

DeLonge left Blink-182 in 2015, and has since been busy with Angels & Airwaves and his To the Stars Academy UFO research organization. Blink, meanwhile, has released two albums with Alkaline Trio‘s Matt Skiba: 2016’s California, and the brand new Nine.
