Josh Homme tries to summon the devil in ‘Desert Sessions’ promo

ABC/Randy HolmesJosh Homme is turning to the forces of darkness to promote his upcoming Desert Sessions albums.

The Queens of the Stone Age frontman has shared a new video, in which he appears to be leading a satanic ritual. The trouble is, he doesn’t seem very prepared: all of his candles are actually LED lights, and he’s surprised by how much it hurts when he cuts his own hand.

The seance is interrupted, though, when two people walk into the room and catch Homme literally red-handed. When they ask what Homme’s doing, he denies anything evil is afoot and insists that he’s just doing “promo” for his long-running collaborative project.

Desert Sessions Vol. 11 & 12 will be released October 25. Guests this time around include ZZ Top‘s Billy Gibbons, Royal Blood‘s Mike Kerr, and PrimusLes Claypool, among many others.
