Mask aficionado Corey Taylor would like everyone to “stop whining and put your [expletive] mask on”

Michael Campanella/RedfernsIf you know anything about Slipknot, it’s probably that the band members all wear masks. And it’s in that capacity as a frequent mask-wearer that frontman Corey Taylor encourages people to wear face coverings to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Well, “encourage” may not be the right word.

When asked in an interview with Australia’s Triple M radio if he had anything to say to those refusing to wear masks amid the pandemic, Taylor responded, “Stop whining, and put your godd*** mask on.”

“[The U.S. is] loaded with these dumba**es that think [wearing a mask is] some kind of political standpoint, or it’s some kind of partisan garbage,” Taylor said. “And I’m just, like, ‘Are you serious?'”

The musician added that he once spent eight hours straight in a mask while doing press for Slipknot.

“But these people are gonna b**** and moan about wearing [a mask] for 10 minutes at the market,” he said. “Get over yourselves.”
