Soundgarden announces “Live from the Artists Den” concert film, live album and “immersive events”

UMe/Artists DenBack in February 2013, Soundgarden taped an episode of the long-running Live from the Artists Den concert series at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles. Now, that special is being released as a new concert film and live album.

Soundgarden: Live from the Artists Den will be available in various formats on July 26. The “super deluxe” box set edition of the release will include a Blu-ray featuring the full 29-song concert and 30 minutes of bonus interview footage, plus four LPs, two CDs and a 40-page photo book.  Various memorabilia, including a replica all-access pass and ticket stub, rounds out the package.

“This live show was really special, and I know how much fun Chris had that night,” says Vicky Cornell, widow of late frontman Chris Cornell. “The idea of giving fans the opportunity to experience it in its entirety is something I’m proud to share with them.”

Additionally, the special will screen live in Los Angeles on June 17, New York City June 18 and June 23 in Seattle. The L.A. and NYC screenings will be “immersive events,” featuring multiple screens, 360-degree viewing and a “stunning light show.”

Tickets to the screenings go on sale today at 5 p.m. ET via ArtistsDen.com/Soundgarden.
