Credit: Paul HarriesSlipknot has shared a third teaser video ahead of the band’s expected announcement this Thursday, May 16.
The first teaser featured footage of the Slipknot masks over the years, along with possible flashes of the new masks, while the second was a collage of past album covers, and was captioned, “How Dare You Martyr Me.” The latest clip includes snippets from past Slipknot videos, and comes with the caption, “You’ve Killed the Saint in Me.”
Presumably, all of these teasers concern the upcoming new Slipknot album, the long-awaited follow-up to 2014’s .5: The Gray Chapter. Fans are guessing that the “How Dare You Martyr Me” and “You’ve Killed the Saint in Me” captions refer to possible song titles or lyrics.
The still-untitled new album is due out on August 9. Slipknot will launch a North American tour behind the record in July.
